Xiamen, China – September 9, 2019, – Ursalink, a global M2M hardware provider, held a Mid-Autumn Festival Party at Jiali Seafood Restaurant on Sept 6, 2019.

The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as Moon Festival, is a traditional holiday for emotional reunion and family gathering together. The date falls on the 15th day of August of lunar calender with full moon at night corresponding to Sept 13 this year.

There are some certain traditions and people across the country have different ways to celebrate this holiday. In general, the Chinese will be having moon cakes that are made from powder and enjoyed them with tea. The moon cake is a dense and sweet pastry sometimes stuffing with yolk.

The celebration at Ursalink began with the feast. Everyone’s enjoying the meal while sharing stories with each other.

After finishing the meal, we start to play Bo Bing (mooncake gambling). In Xiamen, Bo Bing is a traditional dice game played as part of the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival. At the Mid-Autumn festival party, everyone takes turns to throw 6 dices in a wide mouth bow. The first one rolls the dice and wins a relevant prize depending on the combination. The dice then passes to the next person, and the process is repeated until there areparty no gifts left.

Rules to Play

The night came quietly, with the street light and silence of the night. The occasion goes to a satisfying ending. Everyone has left with a big smile on face and a large prize in hands and the giant room was getting empty.
